Post-NRC security in StateStaff ReporterGUWAHATI: As many as 51 more companies of CAPF (Central Armed Police Force) are going to join shortly the 174 companies of CAPF already deployed on NRC duty in Assam. Soon after their arrival in the State, the 51 companies of CAPF will be deployed in various areas in the State. A few CAPF companies deployed on general law-and-order duty in the State were withdrawn by the Centre recently for their deployment in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A. The State government is also going to deploy the State police battalions for the post-NRC security.
