STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: A gang of thieves were caught by Chandmari police as they were planning burglaries in the city inside a house in Bamunimaidam. Thirteen thieves Biplav Mandal, 26, from Kokrajhar, Jeherul Islam, 30, from Bongaigaon, Nazurul Islam, 42, from Nagaon, Nur Amin, 32, from Nagaon, Ismile Ali, 23, from Darrang, Pinku Ali, 22, from Dhubri, Isahaque Ali, 33, from Kamrup (M), Subhas Das, 24, from Kamrup (M), Raja Das, 20, from Darrang, Safiqul Islam, 23, Dhubri, Sahidul Ali, 21, from Goalpara, and Dizaqul Haque, 22, from Kamrup (R) were arrested. A case (891/19 U/S 395) has been registered in this regard at Chandmari police station.
