Man Arrested with Agaru Wood by CISF in LGBI Airport

Staff ReporterGUWAHATI: CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) personnel arrested one Ajay Cheraogi from the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport with 8.5 kg of agaru wood with a market value of Rs 1 lakh on Tuesday. Cheraogi was bound for New Delhi in an Indigo flight taking the agaru wood packed in a bag. While the CISF sleuths handed Cheraogi over to Custom officials, the latter handed him and the seizure over to Rani Forest Range office. He was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court that sent him to judicial custody.
