STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: The State Revenue & Disaster Management department has moved the Finance department seeking funds to the tune of Rs 60 crore to provide monetary relief to flood victims to purchase cloths and utensils. Even though the Assam Disaster Management Manual, 2015, prescribes utensils and cloths for the flood-affected people, the victims have never received such relief. The Revenue & Disaster Management department has estimated that Rs 60 crore would be required to provide such monetary relief to flood victims. The department has approached the Finance department to earmark and sanction the amount.
