STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: After the implementation of the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) MV Act 2019, city traffic police have charged hefty amounts in the past few days, to ensure that each citizen obeys the regulations stipulated under the Motor Vehicles Act. However, the city residents have often complained and grumbled when large sums are charged for breaking any rule. Pictures of police personnel driving without helmet/seatbelt have found its way into social media and opened a can of worms. If any police personnel is found breaking the rules, then they too will be charged accordingly.
