Tribal Organizations submits Memorandum to CM demanding an autonomous council

STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: The Coordination Committee of the Tribal Organizations of Assam (CCTOA) and the Tirap Autonomous District Council Demand Committee has jointly submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Assam on Friday, in view of certain demands. CCTOA chief coordinator Aditya Khaklari, while addressing the media on Tuesday, stated that the prime demand of the Committee is to ensure that the Tirap tribal belt is maintained encroachment free. “Various illegal immigrants have infiltrated the Tirap tribal and we urge the Government to protect the land. The Tirap Autonomous District Council Demand Committee has been continuously protesting with these demands, however, there has been no cease in such activities,” said Khaklari.
