The demands include enforcing a law by the Central government to recruit 1% specially able unemployed in every MNC, improvement of educational environment in B.D.S. Deaf & Dumb Government School and Jorhat Deaf School, allotment of special ration/ identification cards to the unemployed deaf & dumb people in fair price shops, a special provisions regarding free bus fare services in government & private sector etc. Meanwhile, later in the day, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal assured the Association of cancelling the conditions set by the Police Recruitment Board.
