The bandh supporters also staged protest in front of private residence of Cabinet Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma situated on Uday Path near Zoo Road. Members of the Sadou Asom Unnanyan Parishad staged protest near Dispur Last Gate to prevent government employees to attend their offices at State Secretariat. Almost 99 per cent of employees of the State Secretary at Janata Bhawan were absent marking intensity of the bandh.
