Addressing the press meet at Dispur Press Club, AAKRSU adviser Hitesh Barman stated, “When the BTC accord was signed we were not taken into discussion. The non-Bodo communities living in the BTC (Bodoland Territorial Council) were politically, socially and economically deprived.” “Various non-Bodo villages were included into the BTAD (Bodoland Territorial Area Districts). We have already been demanding the government to cut-off the non-Bodo villages from the BTAD.
