STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: The Left Democratic Manch (LDM), Assam took out a protest march against the Union budget 2020 on Friday from the Guwahati Club area. The party has sent a memorandum to the Prime Minister through the district commissioner Kamrup (M) regarding the Union budget and the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act). The LDM took out the protest march by extending their support to the appeal made by left democratic parties for nationwide protest from February 12 to 18. The Left Democratic Manch comprising of CPI, CPI (M), CPI (ML), NCP, AAP, LDP and a few other left democratic parties placed the demands of – scrapping of the policy of privatization, resolving the issues of unemployment including 21,000 monthly wages for labors and unemployment allowance and scrapping of the CAA.
