Summary:

Staff ReporterGUWAHATI: Amidst much controversy in the run-up to the anti-CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) agitation in the State, Guwahati successfully hosted the 65th Filmfare Award. The event was held outside Mumbai for the first time, and that made Guwahati a 'Mayanagari' at least for a night. While noted actor Akshay Kumar arrived in the city late last night and went straight to Sarusajai for rehearsal; Usha Uttap, Alia Bhatt, Manish Malhotra, Radhika Apte, Pooja Hegde, Urbhashi Rautela and Ananya Pandey arrived in the city today. Since most of the film stars will leave Guwahati only in the Sunday evening, many of them will visit Kamakhya tomorrow as well.
