Summary:
Guwahati: The Excise Department conducted raids at various places in the Guwahati city like Kachari Basti, Athgaon, Bhootnath on Sunday and seized approximately 100 litres of illicit liquors. Four persons have been arrested in the city during the raids. A case was registered against the 4 persons under Section-53 of AE (Amendment) Act 2018. It may be mentioned that the State Excise, Fisheries and Forest and Environment Minister Parimal Suklabaidya earlier on Saturday reviewed the functioning of the Excise department in all districts through video conferencing.
