Assam Madrassa body appeals to Himanta Biswa Sarma to continue the education system

Staff ReporterGUWAHATI: The Assam Madrassa Co-Ordination Committee (AMCC) on Monday appealed Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to re-consider the decision of shutting down Madrassas and Sanskrit tols. AMCC urged the government to continue the Madrassa schools and Sanskrit tols under the state government as it has been managed since earlier. Hence, it is a vague statement by the Education Minister that the Madrassas are prone to provide religious education to its students. AMCC said that it has taken the decision to send a memorandum to State governor Jagdish Mukhi, CM Sarbananda Sonowal, Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and president Ramnath Kovind through the district commissioner of each district.
