STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metro District Administration has made special arrangements for the safe and sound celebration of Maha Shivaratri on February 21. During the meeting, representatives of various temples including Basistha, Sukreswar, and Lankeswar were asked to provide clean drinking water, proper lightning facilities, and CCTV cameras at their premises during the celebration. The District Administration advised that the 'Bhog' which will be offered should be checked by the food inspector of the health department. The administration instructed the Guwahati Police to be vigilant so that no untoward incident takes place by intoxicated people.
