Staff ReporterGUWAHATI: A joint team of Ghograpar, Nalbari and Tihu police chased and intercepted a gang of truck hijackers at Tihu on the National Highway 27 on Friday night. The police were on the trail of the Alto-borne hijackers after receiving a tip-off from Darrang police that the gang jumped the police barriers, evaded arrest and fled. All the members of the gang – Golap Ali, Sultan Ali, Mirajul Ali, Kutub Ali, Khairul Ali, and Nazrul – have been handed over to the Mangaldai police.
