Staff ReporterGUWAHATI: Sleuths from the Office of the Commissionerate of Food Safety issued closure notices to eight hotels, restaurants and sweet shops, besides asking eight such institutions to improve their food safety standards in the Maligaon area in Guwahati on Friday. The team was led by senior food safety officer Tarun Das. According to Das, the hotels, restaurants and sweet shops that have been issued closure notices are – Punjabi Hotel, Mohan's Hotel, Shubham Hotel, Maa Hotel, Ramesh Gupta Hotel, Bimal Ghosh Hotel, Delux Bakery, and Biryani Centre. We'll inspect their food safety standard after a week.
