STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: The budget session of Assam Legislative Assembly Budget was kick-started on Monday in Dispur. Meanwhile, All Assam ANM (Trained) Association, All Assam Unemployed Association (AAUA) and the North-East Minorities Students' Union (NEMSU) staged demonstrations outside the assembly with a slew of demands. Chanting slogans and holding placards, the trained ANM nurses demanded that they should be appointed by the government. Further, the body asked the government to investigate on the various scams which took place under the Assam Directorate of Char Areas Development Assam.
