District Admin shuts veg selling zones in Guwahati as people create ruckus

GUWAHATI: Kamrup (M) District Administration has shut vegetable selling zones and retail outlets as people engaged in unruly behaviour. People did not practice social distancing and there was complete chaos which is why the administration had to take such a decision. Assam police has said, “We're saddened to see that even after repeated appeals from the highest in the land, citizens refuse to follow #SocialDistanacing. Given the gravity of situation, all weekly & daily open markets of vegetables, fish & meat are being closed.
