Summary:
In order to reach out to all the senior citizens of Assam who are unattended, in distress and in need of emergency intervention by the administration, Assam Police had released a set of helpline numbers on April 16. According to the department, such messages make it difficult to focus on messages which required immediate intervention. The team engaged in Helpline is still identifying and providing help to Senior Citizens who are in genuine need of administrative intervention amongst all the calls. It is again clarified that the Helpline Numbers 6026900974, 6026900975, 9435215029 and 9132699735 are meant only for Senior Citizens.
