Kamrup M District administration takes stock of Umananda Temple

Staff ReporterGUWAHATI: The Kamrup (M) district administration has distributed rice, pulses, potato, mustard oil etc among the priests of Umananda Temple in Guwahati on Thursday. Kamrup (M) Development Commissioner Atul Kumar Sarma and Additional Deputy Commissioner Ratul Pathak led a team of the district administration to the temple and took stock of the situation there. Ever since the lockdown was enforced in the State, Umananda temple has been snapped with rest of the world with no devotees visiting it. Meanwhile, a team from the Inland Water Transport department also distributed essential commodities among the priest of the temple on Thursday.
