Assam health minister Himanata Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on COVID19 said the new cases have been detected out of 139,868 tests.
“Alert 1427 #COVID cases detected out of 139,868 tests performed.
Proud moment as #Assam performs more than 1 lakh tests for 3rd consecutive day,” Sarma tweeted.
Assam’s COVID19 positivity rate stood at 1.02% on Wednesday.
The health minister said 84.28% of the positive patients registered in Assam so far have recovered from the disease.
Assam currently have a total of 30,320 active cases, which is 15.29% of the total cases.
Assam’s death rate stands at 0.04%, according to the data shared by the health minister.
On Wednesday, 4 more positive patients died of COVID19 infection.
Health minister Sarma said in another tweet.“Deeply saddened to share the demise of four #Covid patients.”
