Third Orang rhino poached this year

"Orang is a well protected park no doubt. GUWAHATI: Forest minister Pramila Rani Brahma has sought a detailed report on how the poaching of a rhino took place on Thursday at Orang tiger reserve and national park, about 150 km from here. We are expecting to provide more forest personnel to Orang by August this year," said the minister. "I have asked for a detailed report on how poachers could manage to kill a rhino in daylight. The 78.8 sq km area of the park is included in the 492.46 sq km area of the tiger reserve.However, increasing poaching pressure and shortage of workforce have become big challenges for the park officials..
