5000 women expected at city Pinkathon in October

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati leg of the third edition of Pinkathon on October 15 is expected to draw more than 5,000 women this year. "Being a cancer survivor I feel encouraged to take part in an event like Pinkathon that gives a special platform not only to women cancer survivors but also sends a message about women's empowerment. I support this noble cause and will be taking part in the run," said Monali Bharadwaj, a cancer survivor. The marathon is about drawing society's attention to women's health, empowerment and her role.
