Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman likely to visit Arunachal Pradesh in October

GUWAHATI: After taking the charge as Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman for first time will visit India's frontier state Arunachal Pradesh . "Accepting an invitation from the Chief Minister to visit the state, the Defence Minister said during her visit, she would hold an elaborate meeting and try resolving all the pending issues. Presently the state is under the combined AGMUT cadre which is a joint cadre for serving Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and all the Union Territories. Separation of Arunachal Pradesh from AGMUT is therefore a genuine and urgent need of the hour", Pema advocated.He advocated for a separate cadre for Arunachal Pradesh during his meeting with Minister of State for Personnel and Training, Jitendra Singh. She is expected to make a two-day visit to the state in October end this year.".
