Protest in front of CM’s house thwarted

Police put up barricades at most places and on the road leading to the chief minister’s house.The activists had gathered at Karnataka Circle , about 2km from the CM’s house, and were planning to go to the CM’s house to protest against the state government for neglecting north Karnataka in the recent budget. When they were about to take out a procession, they were detained and released later.Earlier ACP H K Pathan (Hubballi north) who was at Karnataka Circle tried to convince the protesters not to go to the CM’s house. Hubballi: Police detained activists of BJP Mahanagara Jilla Yuva Morcha when they were heading in a rally to stage a protest in front of chief minister H D Kumaraswamy’s house at Bairidevarkoppa in Hubballi on Tuesday. When they tried to force their way towards CM’s residence, they were taken into custody and sent to old CAR ground on Karwar Road in Hubballi.The protesters requested police to drop them near Navanagar police station as they had all parked their vehicles in Navanagar.
