India Post Payment Bank set for Dharwad debut

It is for the first time that a payment bank service will start in the head post office, Dharwad to cover the entire district.People can open accounts with zero balance and do their transactions online. Each account holder will be given a Quick response card, which can be used for doing transactions,” he added.“In Dharwad district, we have created five access points - Dharwad head post office , Amminbhavi, Kabbenur, Shirur and Harobelavadi, which are linked with IPPB. People of these places can do transactions at these points without even visiting the head post office,” said Deepak.“If customers aren’t able to visit the access points or the head post office, they can do transactions by showing the quick card to the postman when he visits their areas to deliver post..
