Belagavi: Laxmi Hebbalkar , KPCC Women’s Morcha president, on Friday alleged that she had got an offer of Rs 30 crore cash and a ministerial berth from BJP leaders in the month of May.“A woman BJP leader contacted me over phone and made an offer. She had also mentioned the offer briefly during a meeting of party workers of her constituency, Belagavi (Rural), at KEB Hall at Shivbasava Nagar here. Hebbalkar, who was looking sidelined in the party after the recent revolt of the Jarkiholi brothers, has managed to once again turn the focus of state politics towards her with this statement. She also messaged me the offer. However, I outright rejected it, and replied that I was a disciplined worker of the Congress party and would never yield to any offers,” she told the media here on Friday.The Belagavi Rural MLA said, “One of the Union ministers from Karnataka contacted my sister and other family members, requesting them to persuade me.”She, however, declined to reveal the names of the BJP leaders who had contacted her and her family with the offer.Hebbalkar said that at the same time, she had brought the issue to the notice of then KPCC president G Parameshwara and other senior party leaders..
