Mudhol bandh gets good response

BAGALKOT: The Mudhol bandh call given by Taluk Sugarcane Growers’ Association on Friday got a massive response from farmers who staged protests against non-payment of bills. They took out a bike rally on the main roads of city. The agitators blocked the highway at Shirol village, and burnt the effigy of chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.Meanwhile, advocates of Mudhol Taluk Bar Association also extended their supported to the strike by boycotting court proceedings. They also sought support price to their produce.Cane growers blocked roads at various places in the taluk and burnt tyres to vent thei r ire.
