HUBBALLI/BENGALURU: A day after deputy chief minister G Parameshwara said he’s ready to take up the responsibility of chief ministership if the high command so desired, Congress leader Siddaramaiah on Sunday said the top post is not vacant now.“In Congress, there are several leaders who have the capacity and eligibility to become CM. KPCC chief Dinesh Gundurao and Parameshwara had also said it will happen this month. Parameshwara too is eligible and he has made it known. Ultimately, it is to be decided by the high command and MLAs,” Siddaramaiah said.Siddaramaiah, who is also the head of the Congress-JD(S) coalition coordination committee said the HD Kumaraswamy-led coalition cabinet will be expanded at the earliest. He said the delay is largely due to elections in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and they would soon meet AICC president Rahul Gandhi to discuss the matter..
