Crime rate has dropped in twin cities, says top cop

Total crimes reported this year is 1,300 as against 2,047 and 1,814 cases reported in 2016 and 2017 respectively.”Nagaraj attributed the drop in crime rate to effective implementation of the new beat system, awareness created by police among public, regular rowdy parades and effective patrolling by police staff.Nagaraj said only two cases of dacoity were reported this year compared to five last year..
