LEAD beautifies govt schools in Dharwad district

HUBBALLI: A group of students of Deshpande Education Trust fellowship has initiated beautification of government schools in rural areas of Dharwad district. They’re also creating digital awareness among school children under Leadership Accelerating Development ( LEAD ) programme.Rakesh Totakar, programme associate, LEAD programme, said the initiative is aimed at creating a clean and healthy environment for students. “If parents waste water, children bring their parents to school and show them the paintings. They are sensitive to environmental issues,” he said.Totakar said more government schools are requesting the foundation to beautify their walls. “We have worked on nine government schools of Revadihal, Gangival, Channapur, Chavargudda, Nuggikere, Gabbur, Parsapur, Jogyallapur and Giriyal..
