Belagavi: Lakhs of devotees thronged the Renuka Yallamma Temple at Savadatti on the auspicious occasion of Bharat Hunnime on Tuesday. The temple has several Muslim devotees too.The Renuka Yallamma Temple Management Committee had arranged drinking water, toilets, bathrooms, shelter, mobile clinics and parking for the devotees’ vehicles in the temple premises. The temple was reverberating with devotees chanting ‘udho udho’ as they had darshan of the deity.The devotees prepared holige and kadubu at the temple to offer the deity.The speciality of this temple is that Renuka Yallamma is the family deity of several Brahmin and Dalit families.
