Belagavi: In a shocking incident, miscreants shot dead the son of former MLA Parashuram Nandihalli on a road between Dhamana and Yallur near the city late on Tuesday night.The deceased Arun Nandihalli was 53. A case has been registered under the Arms Act and Section 302 of the IPC.According to the city police commissioner Lokesh Kumar, a special team under the Belagavi Rural ACP has been formed to investigate the murder. Arun was returning to Belagavi from his wife Geeta’s residence in Dhamane when the incident took place.Passersby noticed an injured Arun and immediately informed Belagavi rural police station and shifted him to BIMS district government hospital.
