Following this, Deputy Commissioner of Dharwad Nitesh Patil organized a vaccination drive for journalists at the Press Club in Hubballi on Tuesday.
As many as 196 journalists in the 18-45 age group and 44 of those aged above 45 received the Covishield doses, developed by Oxford University-AstraZeneca.
Those vaccinated included electronic media reporters, video journalists, print media reporters, sub-editors, photojournalists, and Information Department staff.
