The dead were identified as Suresh Reddy (42), a native of Nijalingappa Colony, Raichur, and Gangadhar (38), a native of Hanchinal village in Deodurg taluk.
The two were on their way to Hubballi from Raichur.
The other vehicle was on its way from Bengaluru to Mantralayam, the police said.
All injured were treated at a local hospital before being referred to Raichur.
