Judge who pronounced verdict in Mecca Masjid Blast case resumes his duty

Hyderabad: The fourth additional metropolitan sessions judge, K Ravinder Reddy who had pronounced the Mecca Masjid blast verdict, acquitting five accused in the terror blast case has resumed his duties on Thursday. He had acquitted right-wing activist Aseemanand and five other accused in the terror blast case on April 16. Now its completely up to the High Court’s discretion to consider his case of voluntary retirement after reviewing his records. The Judge citing ‘personal reasons’ had quit hours after pronouncing the Judgement along with applying for voluntary retirement. According to the AP Pension rules, those who want to avail voluntary retirement has to file their representations three months prior to the date of their retirement..
