5 Maoists, including two women, gunned down

VISAKHAPATNAM: Maoists in Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB) received a severe jolt as five of their comrades, including two women, were gunned down by the security forces on the early hours of Monday in Pappuluru forest area of Malakangiri district in Odisha , a border area of Visakhapatnam district of AP.According to sources, the combing anti naxal force special operations group (SOG) jawans exchanged bullets with the Maoists Kalimela squad led by Ranadev in between Allurukota and Sanyasiguda in Pappuluru panchayat, which is around 20km from the borders of Seeleru of Visakhapatnam district.After half an hour of exchange of fire with the cops, naxals escaped from the spot..
