Out of the 90 seats Congress got in grand alliance the party gave 7 seats to Muslim candidates. Hyderabad: Congress party has begun practical measures to increase Muslim representation in Telangana state assembly. As the first step, distribution of tickets to Muslim candidates has been undertaken and to ensure the victory of those Muslim candidates other leaders of the party are also being mobilized. Muslim candidates are also being given a chance in assembly constituencies in Hyderabad. Names of Osman al-Hajari from Karwan and Tahir bin Hamdan from Nizamabad (urban) have been announced today.
