In T'gana, 94% primary schools wink at RTE norms

HYDERABAD: Implementation of the Right to Education (RTE) Act continues to be a distant dream in many schools in Hyderabad and elsewhere in the districts as a staggering 94% primary schools have failed to comply with 10 essential parameters under RTE. “We have submitted several representations in the past showing our willingness to implement RTE parameters including 25% reservation for EWS students provided the government reimburses their fees. These include Nalgonda, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Medak and Nizamabad.The school managements have squarely blamed the state government over RTE implementation.
