Power row: T'gana says AP owes Rs 2,406 cr dues

While AP claimed that Telangana electricity utilities owe Rs 5,600 crore, Telangana said AP utilities have to pay Rs 2,406 crore towards arrears.“While TS utilities have to get Rs 5,785 crore from AP towards various accounts, Telangana has to pay Rs 3,379 crore to AP. Apart from this, AP owed Telangana Rs 3,096 crore towards pension funds and common loans. “Does AP want to take over Telangana power utilities,” he said, adding that NCLT has no jurisdiction over the issue.He said of Rs 5,785 crore pending arrears from AP, Rs 1,659 crore pertained to Kurnool and Anantapur districts as loans were being paid by the Telangana utilities due to technical issues. HYDERABAD: As war of words between the two Telugu states on alleged data leak and deletion of votes has intensified, electricity departments of Telangana and AP are now crossing swords over pending arrears. Besides, Telangana is not getting power from Krishnapatnam, an inter-state project, which it should be getting as per the Reorganisation Act,” the CMD added..
