Telangana government announces aid of Rs 10 lakh to Dalit families, allocates Rs 40K crores for empowerment

Telangana government has decided to give 10 lakh rupees to every Dalit family below the poverty line as financial assistance.

The amount will be sent to 100 families of each assembly in the first phase.

Along with this, the government has also prepared a plan to spend 40 thousand crore rupees in the next 4 years under their empowerment.

This decision was taken on Sunday in a meeting on the Dalit Empowerment Scheme led by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said that this year 100-100 families will be selected from all 119 assembly seats under this scheme.

1200 crores will be spent this year under the scheme.

He has also informed that a total of 11900 families of the state will be provided financial assistance of Rs.10 lakh each.

This amount will be sent directly to the bank account of these beneficiaries.

Rs 1190 crore will be given to the beneficiaries.

Along with this, Rs 20 crore will be spent on the maintenance of this scheme.
