IMPHAL: Kuki Inpi Manipur (Kim), the umbrella body of all Kuki civil bodies of the state, has strongly disapproved of the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, saying the statute is against the interest of the indigenous Kuki people in the northeast.An executive meeting of Kim on Wednesday took the call to oppose the amendment bill, in tandem with its 'Haipi Declaration', adopted on September 28, 2015, which resolves that they shall oppose any policy and bill of the government which adversely affects land held by Kukis shall be opposed by them tooth and nail..
