AGARTALA: The Election Commission has appointed retired Manipur DGP K Das as special central police observer for Tripura and Mizoram. The letter alleged that miscreants backed by the ruling BJP violated the model code of conduct by attacking candidates, leaders, workers and supporters of CPM after the election dates wqere announced.
