ITANAGAR: President Ram Nath Kovind will arrive here on Sunday on his maiden visit to the state to begin his four-day tour to the northeast. CorCom also called for a statewide general strike from 5 am of November 21 till 8 am of the following day to protest Kovind's visit. The President will also attend a civic reception organized by Gauhati University.He will then visit Manipur on November 21 to inaugurate the the annual 10-day Sangai Tourism Festival and the North East Development Summit in Imphal . He will visit Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Manipur and attend several programmes.On Sunday, he will attend a function here at Indira Gandhi Park which is being organized by the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Alumni Association to mark 40 years of Vivekananda Kendra.
