Canary Art Gallery, the one stop point for all art lovers is known to display paintings of renowned local artistes. The last time we were there, we happened to chance upon some old school landscape paintings on exhibit at their gallery. There were glimpses of neighbouring villages, as well as the spiritual life of Ujjain and Dewas. The artwork truly captured the essence of the city. Upon discussion with the curator of the gallery, we found out that it was actually 80-year-old artiste Shrenik Jain 's landscapes of Indore and Ujjain from the era when it was greener and without rapid metro culture.The canvases from his young age to recent had been on display and it brought out the character of the city that our grandfathers had probably seen..
