Indore CCTV installed at ends of island platforms to check moving trains

INDORE: The railways has started installation of CCTV at the ends of Indore railway station platforms to keep a check on under-gear parts of moving trains Till now, three CCTV have been installed at the island platforms . They are equipped with sensor motion detection, which allows them to switch on only when a train approaches the inspection spot. “We are still working on it and this system will be made functional in few months,” they said. Their control room has been set up at coaching depot of the station.The entire system comes with microphones to record audio and also has LEDs for illumination of train trolleys for CCTV inspection during night hours. The cameras have been covered with a protective shield to prevent theft or damage..
