IDA to furnish Metro Rail office

INDORE: MP Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has assigned the work of furnishing its office to Indore Development Authority (IDA), with an estimated cost of Rs 4 crore.“IDA has been assigned the task of furnishing around 25,000 square space, taken by MPMRCL in a commercial building at Vijay Nagar Square for its Indore Metro Rail’s office. On failing to do this, the firm will have to bear daily penalty,” said the CEO. We have invited tenders for carrying out work, which is likely to cost around Rs 4 crore, in next one-and-half-month,” IDA CEO Kumar Purushottam told TOI.MPMRCL, which is likely to perform stone laying ceremony for first package of its 31.55km long stretch (Line-III) of Indore Metro Rail project in next two months, has urged IDA officials to complete the work soon.“A clause of tender’s terms and conditions clearly say that the firm, which undertakes the works of office’s furnishing, will have to complete the same in the given timeframe. However, he did not reveal about facilities to be set up there in Metro Rail’s office.Purushottam, who is also managing director of Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam (AVKN), said that a similar tender for furnishing a new office of AKVN in new IT Park has been assigned with an estimated cost of Rs 4 crore.“AKVN’s new office has a space of 25,000 square feet and the firm, which has been assigned the work in around Rs 4 crore, have been given three months of time for its completion,” Purushottam said..
