Three teams to probe all tree felling incidents since January

INDORE: The three probe teams sent to the Choral range will not only investigate the fresh cases of tree felling, but, the incidents in which cases have been registered and action has been taken by forest department since January 2018.The teams have been sent to the range following the incident of tree cutting reported at the jungles recently. The inspection teams will also look at how further the areas can be protected from increasing cases of encroachment and tree felling. The contractor company was granted permission for cutting trees in a width of 10 metre, whereas the company cut the trees for a width of 15 metre. The three reports will be sent by the teams to Barwaha divisional forest officer ML Harit.“The teams have been asked to do their part and the process has started. The movement of the teams in Choral is being monitored by DFO Indore,” Harit said..
