INDORE: The state government is likely to announce constitution of proposed six news tehsils in Indore district on Wednesday since the process of disposing of claims and objections received for it has been completed.According to official sources, the authority had received four claims and objections. Ujjain district already has six tehsils, including Ujjain headquarters, Tarana, Ghatiya, Mahidpur, Badnagar, Khachrod and Nagda tehsil. The headquarters is 22km away from their area.The administration has broken some villages from the existing tehsils for the new tehsils. With this, the district will now have eight tehsils.The constitution of new tehsils – Ujjain Rural and Kothi Mahal- would benefit residents of Mohanpura, Bhairugarh and 15 adjacent villages since they will not need to approach Ujjain headquarters.
