KHARGONE/INDORE: Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme) is a big scam as the amount deducted as premium without consent of farmers was much more than compensation offered to them, alleged MP and Congress state campaign committee chairman Jyotiraditya Scindia here on Monday. Scindia termed CM as the biggest rival of farmers and blamed him and government for their alleged failing to punish the culprits of 'Mandsaur shootout'. Guna MP also held a public meeting in Indore-V and sought public support for Congress' candidate, Satyanarayan Patel while he held a roadshow in Sanwer for Tulsiram Silawat. "After shootout, Chouhan used to keep bidding on death of farmers in Rs 5crore air conditioned tents brought from Gujarat and the kin of deceased farmers were forcefully brought to Bhopal against rituals of Hindus for breaking his fast," Scindia alleged.He also slammed Chouhan and his government over illegal sand mining, Vyapam scam and corruption. "The Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme is a big scam, in which the amount of Rs 3000 crore was deducted from farmers' bank account without their consent and less than Rs 50 crore was paid to them as compensation against their damaged crop of Rs 600 crore while CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has given the remaining funds to his friends of the private company," said Scindia while addressing a public meeting in Balwadi of Sendhwa constituency of Barwani district ..
